概要 | In this study, Mfa1 fimbria of Porphyromonas gingivalis is involved in periodontal biofilm formation and has two genotypes, mfa170A and mfa170B. The properties of mfa170B were unknown. In the study, we purified fimbria from different strains and analyzed their components and structure. The fimbria of mfa170A and mfa170B are antigenically distinct, suggesting that mfa170B may be useful for the de novo taxonomy of P. gingivalis. |
