| 概要 | Phylogenetic trees were constructed by the NJ, MP, ML, and Bayesian methods using concatenate sequences of the cyt b, 12S, and RAG1 genes (Fig. 1, see also Appendix 1). The resultant trees with similar topological patterns provide several important findings. First of all, the trees clearly indicated an inclusion of Scaptochirus into the Asian mole clade comprising species of Euroscaptor and Mogera, separating it from the European mole clade of Talpa species. In our data set, the monophyly of the Mogera species was well recovered, with moderate and high supporting values (ML, 71%; MP, 99%; NJ, 100%; Bayesian, 100%), as has been shown in our previous studies (Tsuchiya et al. 2000; Shinohara et al. 2004a, 2004b, 2005). |
